Traveling to: Paris and Switzerland - By Valentina Braga Junqueira

Hi, friends!! How are you guys? I am fine. Today, I will talk about my perfect trip (or almost perfect). First, I went to Paris (France) and then to Switzerland. In Paris, I think we had a break in our expectations, because it's the "city of light", it's romantic and everything else. But when we got there, we saw that it's not really that. The Louvre is a good museum to visit, the Arc de Triomphe is beautiful, but the most "important", the Eiffel Tower, is not so beautiful. It is not as huge as we imagine and it is lifeless and gray, so I don't really recommend going to Paris. At night, the tower really looks as expected but spending a fortune to enjoy it only at night is not worth it. Besides, people are not friendly, but they think they are. Talking about Switzerland, I really loved it. It's everything there is and more. Everyone is friendly and you don't need to know German to get around there. Unlike the French, they make an effort to...

Traveling to: Paris - By Lara Prevital de Oliveira

I would love to visit Paris, as it is considered one of the most romantic cities in the world, and there is the Eiffel Tower, which was one of the 21 finalists for the title of Seven Wonders of the Modern World, but unfortunately it did not take the title. The city is very rich in culture and especially cuisine, which also has great recognition for its wonderful croissants. Its small streets, its bohemian style, its architecture and its incredible inspiration for art make me want to see everything in person. Paris is a very beautiful city that draws attention from everyone around the world. There is also the Louvre, which is the largest art museum in the world and a historic monument in Paris. Paris has already served as a backdrop for several famous films (for example: Ratatoullie, Anastasia, The Hunchback of Nodre Dame, The Ballerina, etc.). Paris is also known as the “city of light” and is one of the cities that bring the greatest beauty imaginable. The architecture is much admire...

Traveling to: New York - By Jair Ribeiro Sterckele Neto

My name is Jair Ribeiro Sterckele Neto, I'm eleven years old and I study at Unigrau School in São José do Rio Pardo. I am writing this blog with the guidance of my English teacher, Priscila.  I came to talk about New York, which is the city that I want to visit, full of culture and art. The tours that most attract me are the Statue of Liberty and the Times Square, with all its tall buildings, giant signs, many people moving from one side to another and yellow taxis parked in the streets.  Some main drivers cannot make excessive noise in traffic (except in an emergency), such as honking the horn for example. This law also includes car alarms; and the local DMV can issue fines. More than eight hundred languages are spoken in New York, making it the most linguistically diverse city in the world. It is said that four out of ten households speak a language other than English. And there are many other curiosities that make me want to fulfill this wish.

Traveling to: Gramado - By Isadora Fernandes Morgan

Hi, I came to talk a little about Gramado. I really want to get to know it and here are some reasons for us to go there. One of the first reasons is its location. The city is in the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul (where temperatures are lower than in the rest of Brasil). In addition, there are other touristic cities around it, such as Canela. We can travel to Gramado in any season of the year, but one of the greatest events there takes place in the coldest period of the year, between June and August, when there can be snow. It is important for us to prepare for the tours. We can even do round trips, but, to enjoy it, the ideal would be at least 3 nights, so we can calmly choose the attractions and visit more distant places. In Gramado and its surroundings, there are many touristic spots so the tours depend on your personal taste and research. One of the best known attractions is Mini Mundo. It is important to remember that we must pay attention to prices to draw up budgets. Fi...

Traveling to: Egypt - By Davy de Souza Machado

One of the trips I would like to take is to visit Egypt for its magnificent buildings. When I get there, the first thing I want to see is one of the most famous sights in the world, the Pyramids of Giza. Located in Cairo, they are over 4,500 years old and house the tombs of the pharaohs Quéops, Quéfren and Miquerinos. Another place that is also very important to visit is the Abu Simbel temple, which took about 20 years to be built. Right on the facade, it displays four gigantic statues which are very characteristic of the country. The next place I would like to visit is the Egyptian Museum in Cairo. It is one of the best known museums in the world. There are more than 120,000 items on display, including mummies, jewelry, ceramics, sarcophagi, and treasures, which keep the history of Ancient Egypt alive. Of course, the Nile River would never be left out of this trip to Egypt, specially because it is usually one of the first things people associate with the country. There is a cruise...

Traveling to: England - By Beatriz Canato Pavanello

I would like to go to England since it is one of the most interesting countries to visit in the world. There are several castles, parks, museums, icons of the history of music etc., and also because it is the land of Queen Elizabeth II. Things to do in England: WINDSOR CASTLE:  the summer residence of the royal family and favorite house of Queen Elizabeth II. Windsor Castle is one of the most beautiful ones in the country, there are beautiful flower gardens around it and preserved rooms. It has been home to members of the English nobility for over 1000 years, hosting official ceremonies and visits from monarchs and foreign political figures to this day. LIVERPOOL STADIUM:  Anfield Stadium is the official name of the stadium that is home to the famous English team Liverpool FC. One of the most famous stadiums in Europe and in the world. It is so called precisely because it is located in the neighborhood of the same name. Its inauguration took place on September 8th, 1888, befor...
