Traveling to: Florence - By Maria Olivia de Aquino Poli

Why choose Florence?

Visiting Florence is one of the coolest experiences in Italy. A city that breathes art through its streets, a lot of history in its buildings and friendly spaces. Not to mention the cuisine that also stands out! I recommend at least 3 days to fully enjoy all the attractions in Florence.

Things you can't miss in Florence

1 – Visit the Cathedral of Florence;

2 – Stroll along the Ponte Vecchio;

3 – Visit the Museo Casa di Dante;

4 – Discover the Museo dell´Accademia;

5 – Explore the city at night;

6 – Taste the local cuisine;

7 – Stroll around Mercatto Centrale.

What does the flag of Florence represent?

Currently the fleur-de-lis is red on a white background but formerly the colors were inverted, precisely in reference to the color of the Florentine Iris flowers. The current colors date back to 1251 when the Ghibellines, in exile, continued to bear the symbol of Florence.

7 .reasons to fall in love with Florence

1 – The 'gita' by Firenze;

2 – Centenary constructions and a bath of culture. A big city with the cozy feel of a village;

3 – Medieval villages, wines and cuisine;

4 – Going shopping;

5 – The birthplace of Renaissance;

6 – Ponte Vecchio;

7 – Piazzale Michelangelo.

How did Florence come about?

In its origin, Florence was a fortified camp located at the crossroads that formed the paths of the Tyrrhenian coast and those of the Apennines, united to run through the high Arno valley to Rome. Originally Florence was an Etruscan city, dependent on Faesulae (Fiesole).

Traveling to: Chile - By Ana Luiza Batista Amaral

Well, I've already been there and I recommend going to Chile. It's a beautiful and incredible place, and the coolest part of Chile is the snow. I recommend going there because there is snow and you can ski in snowy mountains. I also have some options of what to do in Chile, like going to see snow of course, skiing, having a hot coffee in the cold and and don't forget to take a lot of hot clothes because it is very cold there, but everything there is perfect. Now here's a photo of me in Chile remembering that I went there when I was 5 years old.

Traveling to: Santa Catarina - By Alicia Garbin Azarias

 One of the best trips of my life was to Santa Catarina. I traveled there when I was four. In the park where I went to, there were several rides and I had a lot of fun! I had never felt so happy!! We went to some beaches and to a show that I'm sure I'll never forget. This show was from a movie called Madacascar and I was addicted to that movie.  After this trip, I went to Rio de Janeiro to visit some friends of my father's. I was very afraid of being alone, because in Rio de Janeiro it was very dangerous so I was scared. After that, we returned to our city, one of the best trips of my life was this one!
